Toni is a rough and tumble teenager with a fearless attitude and a heart full of compassion, especially for animals. Her dream of rescuing bully breeds inspires her to explore the woods near her home, where she often finds herself face to face with danger. Her fascination with a group of werewolves that roam the forest has turned into a daring (and reckless) obsession. Toni constantly tries to approach them, reaching out as if to connect, only to be pulled away by her gargoyle guardians, who give her stern lectures that she rarely listens to.

On rare occasions, Toni introduces them to her gargoyle family, only when one of them dons the shared magical medallion to appear human, while still keeping their imposing presence.
